Privacy Policy

JWT Token Decode ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the JWT Token Decode browser extension (the “Extension”).

Overview

JWT Token Decode is a browser extension that allows users to inspect and decode JSON Web Tokens (JWTs) from web requests or by manual input. All processing is performed locally within the user's browser.

Information Collection

The Extension does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal or sensitive user data.

Web Request Access

The Extension uses the browser’s webRequest API and requires access to URLs visited by the user in order to detect and inspect JWTs contained in HTTP request headers (such as the Authorization header).

JWT data accessed through web requests is processed locally and temporarily in the browser memory and is never sent to external servers or third parties.

Local Storage

The Extension may store user-provided or user-selected JWT data locally using the browser’s storage APIs (such as chrome.storage) solely to support the Extension’s user interface and functionality.

This data remains on the user’s device and can be removed at any time by clearing the extension’s storage or uninstalling the Extension.

No External Transmission

The Extension does not use cookies, analytics services, tracking technologies, advertising networks, or remote servers. No data is transmitted outside of the user’s browser.

Children’s Privacy

The Extension is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
